Boomlift & Scissor Lift Access
Boomlifts and scissor lifts are the right choice when there is ground access, a stable hard standing, and the work area can be reached vertically or with a defined horizontal outreach. Boomlifts give horizontal outreach for façade, lighting, signage and roofing work; scissor lifts give a vertical lift platform for indoor maintenance, ceiling work and material handling. We assess the ground, plan the swing radius and exclusion zone, and operate to MEWP safety protocols.
Scope of work
- Articulated and telescopic boomlift operations for outdoor façade work
- Scissor lift access for indoor ceiling, mechanical, electrical and warehouse works
- High-level signage, banner, lighting, HVAC and AHU component installation support
- Glass and cladding access for inspection and minor replacement
- Construction-site material handling, painting and façade installation support
- Inspection, pipework and ceiling access on industrial sites and warehouses
- Coordination with rental yards for equipment sizing, delivery and daily/weekly hire
Process
Equipment selection
Working height, horizontal outreach, platform capacity and ground conditions drive the choice between scissor lift, articulated boom, and telescopic boom.
Ground & access check
Ground bearing capacity, gradient, manhole covers and overhead obstructions (cables, eaves) are checked before delivery. Outriggers and spreader plates are used where needed.
Operator & rescue plan
Operators hold valid MEWP training. A standby person on the ground holds emergency lowering knowledge and the work zone is cordoned off before lifting begins.
Execution
Harness-to-platform anchor, no-step-off rule, and tool tethering are enforced. Wind speed is monitored against the platform’s rated limit.
